SUPPORT WORKERS REQUIRED FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION: FULL TIME/RELIEFNIGHT SHIFT SUPPORT WORKER (4 on/4 off)

We are looking to recruit Night Shift Support Worker to work as part of a team to provide support and to promote independence and quality of life to vulnerable adults.Our teams provide support and care in supported living environments and to individuals in community settings.As a Support Worker you will be making a real difference to people’s lives, building strong relationships and assisting with daily living tasks.

NIGHT SHIFT SUPPORT WORKERS REQUIRED

We are looking to recruit Night Shift Support Worker to work as part of a team to provide support and to promote independence and quality of life to young vulnerable adults. Our teams provide support and care in supported living environments and to individuals in community settings. As a Support Worker you will be making a real difference to people’s lives, building strong relationships and assisting with daily living tasks.

We are looking for individuals who reflect our Core Values which underpin and form the foundation on which we perform our work:

  • A ‘people person’ who can build positive relationships with others– based on mutual respect and understanding, regardless of age, background or support needs;
  • Reliable, dedicated and able to meet the physical demands of the job;
  • Enthusiastic to promote our service user’s independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivery the very highest standards of care;
  • Driving Licence essential.

Applicants for this position will preferably have experience in the field of providing support and care and an SVQ qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or be prepared to work towards the necessary qualifications.

PART TIME SUPPORT WORKERS REQUIRED

Due to continuing expansion, we are recruiting a part time Support Worker for our Mental Health Service in west Inverness. Located in a quiet, semi-rural setting that promotes therapeutic care, you will be supporting four service users in a truly person-centred way.

Flexible working required as some weekend work may be required. Shifts from 10am to 3pm or 11am to 4pm.

You will have a passion for helping others to achieve their potential and promote:

  • mental and physical health and well-being
  • self-help skills and daily living tasks
  • access to the community
  • forming positive relationships

You will have a mature and responsible approach to the needs of the clients. You will be caring, patient, reliable, hard-working and resilient.Above all, you will have a commitment to supporting people and making a positive difference to their lives.

You will have experience either working or volunteering in the health and social care sector. Ideally, you have knowledge of supporting people with mental health issues.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to contribute to the preparation of support plans
  • Ability to work flexible hours and shift work, including evenings and week-ends.
  • Have an SVQ2 or equivalent qualification, suitable for SSSC registration, or willingness to work towards the qualification.
  • A full driving licence and ability to access own vehicle is required, as the service is not on bus routes.

You will join friendly, dedicated, professional teams of experienced support workers. We value all our employees as vital to the work we do. Our services are expanding and we are looking to recruit Relief Support Workers to work as part of a team both in our Inverness & Invergordon Services to provide support to promote independence and quality of life to vulnerable adults. Our teams provide support and care in supported living environments and to individuals in community settings.As a Support Worker you will be making a real difference to people’s lives, building strong relationships and assisting with daily living tasks.

If you are:

  • A ‘people person’ who can build positive relationships with others– based on mutual respect and understanding, regardless of age, background or support needs;
  • Able to communicate effectively and accurately in English, both spoken and written;
  • Reliable, dedicated and able to meet the physical demands of the job;
  • Available to work flexible shifts which includes weekends, evening and waking nights;
  • Interested in a rewarding career in social care – we would like to hear from you.

Applicants for the support workers posts will preferably have experience in the field of providing support and care and an SVQ qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent, or be prepared to work towards the necessary qualifications.
